Plymouth girls win Semi-State for 2nd time ever

For the 2nd time in school history, the Plymouth girls basketball team will play for State.

The Pilgrims defeated Wawasee 45-43 in the 3A Semi-State Championship on Saturday.

Plymouth had a distinct advantage in the game playing on their home floor, but that didn't take away from the excitement afterwards.

After all, the Pilgrims lost by 18 points in the regular season meeting.

Plymouth senior Brittany Payne, who couldn't play in last year's post-season due to injury, was beyond overjoyed.

She can't believe her team will play for State next Saturday at Conseco Field House.

The Pilgrims will face Indy Chatard at 6pm next Saturday for the 3A State Championship.
