Mishawaka junior Josh Harper knows all about winning state championships.
Harper won his third straight state title on Saturday defeating Francisco Porras at 125 pounds.
He is the first 3-time champion in Mishawaka history.
Harper won state at 112 pounds last year and at 103 pounds in freshman year in 2005.
He is now an unbelievable 135-1 in his career.
That lone loss came following last year's individual state championship victory when Harper was defeated at the team wrestling state championships.
Harper will look to redeem that next Saturday as the Cavemen again go for the team state title.
Teammate, Steve Sandefer, also a junior, won State at 140 pounds. Sandefer defeated Carmel's Chris Mascaro.
It's been an impressive run for Sandefer who saw his football season end early due to a knee injury. But the junior made a quick recovery and missed very little of the wrestling season.
Sandefer is 43-2 this season.
Elkhart Memorial senior Stephen Stahl defeated Crown Point's Marcus Shrewsbury to win state at 189 pounds.
At 215 pounds, Riley's George Malone did not repeat as state champion. The junior lost for the first time in two years in the semifinals to Leo's Justin Woods.
Woods went on to win the state title.
Malone finished 3rd with a 42-1 record this season.
