The fact that the Irish played well and lost at UConn should bode well for Sunday's game against Rutgers but if Notre Dame is not on its game, the road trip could easily be 0-2 and doubt will again seep into the post-season equation.
Rutgers has won only twice in the Big East but as is the case with most Big East teams, the Scarlet Knights can be scary tough at home. The Irish have played very well on the road in the last three trips and it has to continue for Notre Dame to return 9-3 in conference play.
