Tuylah Gaines scored a season-high 22 points and #16 Notre Dame went on a 21-1 run late in the 1st half en route to a 99-76 win over Marquette on Wednesday at the Joyce Center.
It was the fourth straight win for Muffet's Squad, which improved to 7-3 in the Big East and 19-5 overall.
The Irish trailed 23-17 in the second half before switching to a box and one defense on Marquette's Krystal Ellis (18 points). They held the Golden Eagles to just one field goal of the next 10 minutes.
Notre Dame led 45-31 at halftime.
Lindsay Schrader scored 17 points and Charel Allen added 13.
It was ND's first game without freshman Devereaux Peters, who is out for the season with a torn ACL.
The Irish now head on the road for three straight games against #21 Syracuse, #5 Rutgers and DePaul.
