Harangody named Big East Player of the Week

Luke Harangody scored 31 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in Thursday's home win against Providence.

The Irish sophomore followed it up with a 29 point, 14 rebound performance against DePaul on Saturday.

As head coach Mike Brey asked following the DePaul game, "Is anyone else in the country doing that?"

It appears not.

Harangody was named the Big East Player of the Week for the 2nd time this season.

Harangody leads the Big East in scoring (24.4 ppg) and rebounds (11.6 rpg).

#21 Notre Dame has won three straight games and are in 2nd place in the Big East with a 6-2 conference record.

The Irish next head on the road to face Seton Hall on Wednesday.

ND cracked the coaches' poll top 25 on Monday in the 21st position.
