Media Day at Super Bowl XLII

I mean really, how many times can Patriots’ QB Tom Brady talk about his high ankle sprain?

How many times can the Giants say they do not fear New England?

It is all part of Super Bowl XLII's media day, an event that may have jumped the shark a few years ago. But it seems that each year there is something that steals the show.

One reporter, from TV Azteca, decided to come dressed as a not-so-blushing bride who had her sights set on, whom else: Tom Brady.

“Will you marry me please?” asked Ines Gomez-Mont, adding, “I’m the real Mrs. Brady.”

And count Pats’ coach Bill Belichick as a charter member of the Brady fan club.

And why not? The former Michigan quarterback is shooting for his 4th Super Bowl championship.

“Tom’s the best. He’s a great player, a great leader, a terrific teammate,” said Belichick. “I really enjoy coaching Tom.”

For the Giants, Justin Tuck of Notre Dame was asked just how small his home town of Kellyton, Alabama really is.

For the record, Kellyton has approximately 230 people.

“I actually mapped it out,” explained Tuck. “McDonald’s is actually 15.8 miles away, Walmart is 10.6, the nearest gas station is three. That’s about it. I have one caution light in my town.”

Kickoff is set for 6:30 on Sunday evening.
