Riley joins crowded pack at the top of the NIC

The top of the NIC just got a whole lot more crowded.

Thursday night, Riley defeated Penn 77-67 to move into a three-way tie for first place in the Northern Indiana Conference.

The Wildcats are now 4-1 in league play, and are tied with Washington and St. Joe. Clay is just a half-game back at 3-1 in the NIC. The Colonials face the Indians on Friday.

Larry King scored 20 points and Taylor Williams added 18 for the Wildcats who led by 14 heading to the 4th quarter.

Tommy Kurth led all scores with 28 for the Kingsmen. Penn drops to 3-3 in the NIC with the loss and 8-6 overall.

Riley is 12-3 overall.

The Wildcats close out the conference season facing the league's other top three: Clay, Washington and St. Joe.
