Bethel wins 7th straight over Spring Arbor

William Walker scored 33 points, including the go ahead bucket, to lead Bethel College to its 7th straight win 82-79 over Spring Arbor in Mishawaka.

The Pilots are now 19-3 and remained in first place in the Mid-Central College Conference with a 7-1 league record.

Spring Arbor had a chance to tie the game off an inbounds pass with 1.4 seconds left in the 2nd half, but Rob Boss could not handle the pass. Boss got a poor shot off that was well off the mark and Bethel held on for the win.

The Pilots led 45-40 at the half but fell behind 72-68 late in the game for Walker took control inside. The junior also had 8 rebounds, 3 blocks and a steal.

Penn grad Tyler Brown added 23 points, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the Pilots.
