For 28 seasons, Bill Sharpe was the Baron of the Baugo, the architect of one of one of the top high school football programs in the state.
Now at age 58, Sharpe is retiring as the Jimmies head coach but will remain as athletic director at the school.
Only five coaches in state history won as many state titles as Sharpe.
He took the jimmies to the top spot on four occasions: 1991, 1997, 98 and 2005.
His teams finished 2nd twice along with the 4 state titles.
Overall the Jimmies were 288-54 under Sharpe.
This past season, jimtown went 11-1 before losing to F.W. Luers in the sectional finals.
