Crum, Brown, Lambert seek 5th year for Irish

Head coach Charlie Weis announced Tuesday that three seniors will apply to Notre Dame¹s Faculty Board on Athletics for a fifth year.

The big name is defensive captain Maurice Crum, Jr. The linebacker had 84 tackles, two interceptions and one sack for the Irish in 2007.

Defensive end Justin Brown and cornerback Terrail Lambert will also seek enrollment in the graduate studies program at Notre Dame.

In other Irish football news, sophomore Munir Prince will transfer to Missouri.

And defensive lineman Ian Williams was named Freshman All-American for his position.
