Irish sophomore cornerback Munir Prince is transferring to Missouri.
Prince, a Missouri native, played in 10 games for the Irish this season.
"After talking with Munir, he decided he¹d like to leave our football team and the University," Charlie Weis said in a statement released by the school.
"I appreciate all Munir has done for our program and Notre Dame and wish him well in the future.²
Prince recorded three tackles and had one pass block.
He may be most remembered for having a ball bounce off of him on a punt against USC that was recovered by the Trojans.
Prince will have to sit out a season. He will then have two years of eligibility left.
