Irish-Tenessee women's hoops game now a sellout

For the fourth time ever, the Notre Dame women's basketball team will play in front of a capacity crowd at the Joyce Center.

ND's Saturday afternoon game against defending National Champion Tennessee soldout Friday afternoon.

Ranked 14th in the country, the Irish are shooting for their 11th straight victory. ND is 12-1.

Tennessee, ranked 3rd in the country, is 11-1 and is coming off a 34-point at #15 DePaul.

The Vols sport the nation's best player, Candace Parker. Parker is averaging 21.7 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.

The last Irish sellout came in the 2005 when they last faced Tennessee at home.

Muffet McGraw has never defeated the Vols. She is 0-14 lifetime against them.

The Irish are 0-18 against Tennessee overall.

Gametime at the Joyce Center is 2pm on Saturday.
