In what was one of the best and most exciting games of the bowl season, Michigan rallied to win over Florida, 41-35 in the Capital One Bowl. The win sends coach Lloyd Carr as victoriously as Rich Rodriguez takes over the UM program.

Quarterback Chad Henne was the game's MVP as he threw for three scoring passes while accumulating 373 passing yards as the Michigan offiense was wide open for four quarters. Incredibly the Wolverines had four turnovers including two fumbles by Michael Hart who entered the game not having fumbled in over 1,000 carries. The of the miscues happened inside the Floirda five-yard line.

The teams went back and forth for much of the afternoon as UM led by seven at half. Michigan problems gave the Gators a three-point lead in the fourth quarter before Henne took his offense down the field to take the lead on a scoring strike to Adrian Arrington.

The UM defense controlled the line of scrimmage constantly pressuring 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow into rushing his passes.

Both teams finish 9-4. After the game UM defensive coordinator Ron English accepted the coordinator's job with Louisville
