Boilers to battle Central Michigan in Motor City Bowl

After two days off for Christmas, Bowl season restarts on Wednesday.

7-5 Purdue takes on MAC Champion Central Michigan in the Motor City Bowl in Detroit.

The game will be a rematch of an early season meeting between the two. Purdue dominated the week three contest with a 45-22 win.

This is the first time since 1898 that the Boilermakers will face the same team twice in a season.

Quarterback Curtis Painter leads the way for Purdue. He's thrown for 3,300 yards and 26 touchdowns this season. In the big win over Central Michigan, Painter had 3 touchdowns and 360 yards passing.

The Boilers are looking for their first Bowl win since 2002. They have lost 6 of their last 7 Bowl games.

Purdue is also looking to snap its three game losing streak on Wednesday. After starting the season 5-0, the Boilermakers dropped five of their last seven games.
