Purdue will be facing something rare with their rematch against Central Michigan when the team's play each other in Wednesday's Motor City Bowl in Detroit.
The Boilermakers beat the Chippewas 45-22 in September. The rematch will be the first for Purdue since 1898, when it twice beat Haskell, a school for American Indians.
Purdue's players say their main focus is turning around a three-game slump in which they lost to Penn State, Michigan State and Indiana in dropping to 7-5.
Linebacker Stanford Keglar says the Boilers want to make sure they end the season differently than their last games.
