Penn, Reynolds beat Clay in final seconds

Kelsey Reynolds sunk a jumper with seconds left in regulation to lift Penn past Clay 54-52 in NIC action Thursday night.

The Kingsmen are now 12-1 and 5-0 in the NIC. Clay drops to 7-2 and 4-2 in the NIC.

Reynolds led all scores with 23.

The game was tight throughout. After one quarter, it was tied at 11.

Clay took an 18-14 lead in the 2nd on an Ariel Easton layup.

Penn responded with an 8-0 run and took a 22-20 lead into halftime.

The Kingsmen are off until January 4th when they host Fort Wayne Luers.

Clay will host the South Bend Classic on Saturday.
In boys hoops, Washington defeated Niles 59-49.

The Panthers improved to 8-0 on the season.

They will be in action on Friday when they travel to Marian for a Northern Indiana Conference Clash.
