The Notre Dame women's basketball team is in the top ten in the country in assists this season, but their latest triumph comes from assisting the community.
The team was out this morning around South Bend collecting non-perishable food items for their first annual "Dish for the Holidays."
The items collected will go to help out the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
The players and head coach Muffet McGraw were enjoying themselves, building a snowman and getting into the holiday spirit.
"We have to do something about it, it's kind of our duty as citizens and members of the community. We want people to have a great experience for Christmas, and we want to thank people we're so blessed with what we have, we want to give back to the community,” said Muffet McGraw, ND women's basketball coach.
And if you missed this chance to help out, go ahead and make your own assist and help out the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
