Roundball Roundup: Washington/Adams and rest of the NIC

Last year, Adams ended Washington's season in the Sectional finals.

Friday night, the undefeated Panthers looked for revenge at the Great Western Forum.

With 5 minutes left in the game, Eagles star Landon Booker drove the lane and dropped a floater to put Adams up 49-41.

But Washington wasn't going to let this one get a way easily.

Jourdan Vann led the rally with a clutch three pointer to pull the Panthers within 5. Vann scored a team-high 23.

With 5 seconds left, Jarrett Fleming hit one of two free throws to tie the game up.

The Eagles would have a chance to win it, but Damon Wilder was just short at the buzzer.

In overtime, Kennis White would hit a big shot to put the Panthers up. He had 18.

Adams would then have a chance to tie. Down 3 in the closing seconds, Booker would get an open look but miss the shot.

Washington survives to win it 68-65 in OT.

The Panthers are 6-0. Adams is 3-2.
At St. Joseph's High School, area leading scorer Marcus Johnson led the way with 24 points as the Indians improved to 6-0 with a 61-47 win over Mishawaka.

Johnson is averaging 25 points a game.

Mishawaka drops to 1-4.
At Clay high school, it was all Colonials against Marian.

Chris Burke connected with Daniel Smith for a devastating alley oop as Clay won 72-36.

Clay is now 4-1. Marian drops to 1-4.
At Riley high school, the Wildcats imrproved to 5-1 with a 64-58 win over Elkhart Central.

The Blazers are now 0-6.
