A year ago, Notre Dame escaped with a 60-59 win at Valparaiso.
Wednesday night, it wasn't even near to being as close.
Ashley Barlow scored 19 points to lead the Irish to a 94-56 win.
It's the fifth time in six home games Notre Dame has won by 30 or more points.
The 17th-ranked Irish have won seven in a row and are now 9-1 on the season.
There was plenty of local talent in the game.
South Bend St. Joe grad Aimee Litka returned home to face-off against her former high school teammate Melissa Lechlitner.
In the first half, Litka tried to use one of her vintage moves on Lechlitner, but Lech knew what was coming and forced the turnover.
Litka did have a solid game, scoring a career-high 17 points in the loss.
Ashley Varner, who helped lead South Bend Washington to a state title last year, scored two points and grabed four rebounds for the Crusaders.
Lechlitner had six points and a season-high seven assists in the win.
Charel Allen added 14 for the Irish.
Notre Dame does not play again until December 21st when they face IUPUI.
Coming up on Newscenter 16 at 6 on Thursday, a look at Litka's career thus far at Valpo and her battle Wednesday night with Lechlitner.
