Irish shooting for Joyce Center record Saturday

Coming off a big win over Kansas State in the Jimmy V Classic, the Notre Dame men's basketball team looks to make history Saturday night at the Joyce Center.

The Irish will battle Northern Illinois at 7pm, shooting for a Joyce Center record 25th straight home victory.

ND is currently tied with the '73-'74 team with 24 consecutive home wins.

Mike Brey's men are winners of 4 in a row and are now 6-2 on the season.

The Irish have not lost at the Joyce Center since an 80-72 setback to Marquette on February 25, 2006.

Kyle McAlarney is leading the way. After 3 straight 20-point plus efforts, the Staten Island native scored 18 in Notre Dame's huge win over K-State at Madison Square Garden.
