Notre Dame had a double digit lead in the first half vs Kansas State and lost it. In the second half, Notre Dame had a nine-point lead and lost it. But a three-pointer jumper by Kyle McAlarney moved the Irish from a shaky two-point edge to a five-point cushion.
The Irish did a great job on holding K-State frosh sensation to only 8 of 20 shooting on the night. Beasley came into the game averaging over 26 points per game.
Luke Harangody outplayed Beasley and anyone else that tried to guard the bulky sophomore. Harangody had 19 while McAlarney, playing in front of family and firends from Staten Island added 18.
Notre Dame now faces Northern Illinois on Saturday night at the Joyce Center. A victory would give this group of players the record for the most consectutive wins at the Joyce Center.
