Big-time rally for Irish icers

Things did not look very good for the 7th-ranked Irish hockey team Friday at the Joyce Center. Nebraska-Omaha took the fight to ND and enjoyed a 3-0 lead before the Irish rallied.

Notre Dame got goals from Kevin Deeth, Christian Hanson, Eric Condra and Dan Kissel to take a 4-3 lead.

The Mavs tied the game at 4 but Garrett Regan scored at 17:54 of the third to give the Irish the victory.

The ND win, coupled with Michigan's loss to Ohio State, pushes the Irish past UM in the CCHA. Miami of Ohio and ND are now tied in terms of points while the Red Hawks have games-in-hand.

Jeff Jackson's team is now 9-2 on the season in conference play and is 13-4 overall
