The Saint Joseph Indian’s football team is heading down to the RCA Dome in Indianapolis to fight for the state championship this weekend.
The team is not playing until Saturday, but you would think that the Indians were moments away from taking the field by the spirit present at Wednesday’s pep rally.
You could see and feel the excitement as the school rallied around the players, who are looking for their first state title in 12 years.
The students cheered, the captains inspired and Coach Kevin Downey was covered in confetti.
NewsCenter 16’s Terry McFadden, a Saint Joseph alumnus, was given the chance to say a few words about playing the defending champions, Indianapolis Chatard.
