Purdue wide receiver Selwyn Lymon arrested for resisting arrest

Police say Purdue wide receiver Selwyn Lymon had a blood-alcohol content nearly double the legal limit for driving in Indiana when officers stopped him yesterday in West Lafayette.

Lymon was charged with drunken driving and resisting arrest. A court magistrate ordered the receiver held without bond in the Tippecanoe County Jail following a hearing today.

Officers say Lymon had a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent when he was stopped around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

Lymon also faces charges from a March 20th fight outside a West Lafayette nightclub during which he was stabbed in the chest.

The junior caught three passes for 35 yards Saturday during Purdue's 27-24 loss to Indiana in Bloomington.

The Associated Press left a phone message seeking comment from Lymon's attorney.
