The St. Joe Bears went from 0-9 to the Michigan state semifinals in two seasons.
But their Cinderella ride came to an end Saturday at the hands of defending state champion East Grand Rapids.
St. Joseph fell 28-7 in the Division 3 State Semifinals.
The Bears finish their season with a 12-1 record.
It was the first playoff appearance for St. Joseph since 1999, their first trip to the state semis since '97 and the first time they have been undefeated this late in the season since 1988.
