After Western Michigan tied the Irish on the ice, Jordan Pearce turned into a formidable force turning back every Bronco shot as Notre Dame won over Western, 4-1 Friday at the Joyce Center.
The Irish goals were scored by Ryan Thang, Dan DeVard, Eric Condra and Mark VanGuilder.
The teams meet Saturday in Kalamazoo
