The University of Michigan has until Monday to submit a renovation plan addressing wheelchair accessibility at its football stadium that is acceptable to the U.S. Department of Education.
If not, the U.S. Department of Justice could get involved in the case.
The Education Department told the school in a report last month that the school continues to violate a law requiring wheelchair accessibility at Michigan Stadium and risks losing millions in financial aid.
The Education Department and the school both say they hope they can reach a resolution on the issues.
The school has disagreed with the report's findings and maintains the university is complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
