Penn soccer team ready for state

The Penn girls' soccer team has never won state before.

Saturday they get their chance.

The Kingsmen will need to win two games in Indy to take home state.

Senior goalie Emily Johnson says the team certainly deserves it based on how hard the girls have worked this season.

Head coach Mike Luber says it would be a huge accomplishment for the program to win state.

Penn faces two-time defending champion FW Bishop Dwenger at Noon in Indy. If they win, they play for state at 8pm at Kuntz Memorial Stadium.

The Goshen boys will also play for state on Saturday.

The Redskins will face Evansville Memorial in Game 1 Saturday at 10am at Kuntz Memorial Stadium. The winner battles either Chesteron or North Central for the state championship at 6pm Saturday.
