Friday Night Football: Penn avoids scare again

Wins used to come very easily for the Penn Kingsmen.

They are still coming, but not with such ease.

The Kingsmen were taken to the final minute for the 3rd straight week, but once again prevailed thanks to Brian Lares.

Lares picked off a Nolan Dieter pass in the final minute to secure a 10-7 Penn win over Adams at School Field Friday night.

It's the third straight week Lares has clinched the win for the Kingmsne.

Penn finishes the regular season undefeated. Adams finishes at 4-5.
Cassopolis' 17-game winning streak came to an end with a big loss.

In a battle of Lakeland Conference unbeatens, Coloma ran over Cass 50-8 to claim the conference championship.

Coloma is now 8-0. Cass drops to 7-1.
Concord clinched the Northern Lakes Conference title with a win over Warsaw 14-3.

The Minutemen led 7-3 at halftime. A 60-yard touchdown pass from David Yoder to JaVontae Hence put Concord up comfortably.

Anthony Harper and Wes Smith added interceptions late in the game to secure the win.
