Another Friday, another Irish Pep Rally on the campus of Notre Dame, but this week, head coach Brian Kelly was joined by another Irish skipper.

"While these guys are hitting their stride to finish the season as we've witnessed the last two weeks, we will start practicing tonight to take over after they finish with a flurry alright?" said Mike Brey, Notre Dame Men’s Basketball coach.

Coach Brey took time to talk to the crowd before Friday night's open practice for the men at Purcell Pavilion. He was joined on stage by game day captains Dayne Crist and Gary Gray.

Later, Dayne riled up the fans.

“I want to thank you guys for being out here every week and being supportive and helping me celebrate a great win on my birthday last week. And for those of you I didn't get to see, don't worry about it because the party starts tomorrow, 2:30 at the stadium. Go Irish!”

The Irish are getting set to take on Western Michigan Saturday, the first MAC school to visit the stadium, and Brian Kelly told the crowd the Broncos are in for a loud awakening tomorrow from 80-thousand fans.

“It's great to spend time here. We're excited about tomorrow. It's another opportunity for our football team to play and play hard in an exciting atmosphere. We're looking forward to that opportunity. Thank you again for being here and go Irish.”
