Jimmy Clausen is just fine and will start Saturday against UCLA.

Irish head coach Charlie Weis said Clausen has shown no ill effects in practice on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Clausen was pulled from Saturday's game against Purdue due to a hip bruise.

Notre Dame also had a very intense practice on Tuesday. Weis called it the most physical practice Notre Dame has had since he's been here.

You can tell the practice had its effects. Senior defensive lineman Trevor Laws struggled to get into his seat for media interviews on Wednesday night, clearly feeling soreness and pain.

To counter that soreness, the Irish had a light work out on Wednesday and will have another light workout on Thursday before leaving for Pasedena on Friday.

Notre Dame plays UCLA at 8PM on Saturday.
