The Florida Marlins finished the sweep of the Cubs on Thursday but the loss was tempered by what happened in Milwaukee.
The Padres ripped the Brewers, 9-5 dropping the Cubs magic number to win the division to two. Chicago has a two-game lead with only three to play. The Cubs now move on to Cincinnati while the Brewers continue their series with San Diego.
