Campbell's recently embarked on a new ad campaign claiming 32 feet of noodles inside every regular size can of chicken noodle soup.

Then, the emails came fast and furious to NewsCenter 16 demanding an “As Seen On TV Test” to see if Campbell's claim had run a-fowl.

I'm standing 32 feet from the camera lens. I've got my can of
Campbell's chicken noodle soup. I've got a strainer and a pan. I'm going to pull these noodles out and find out if, in fact, there are noodles that add up to 32 feet.

Actually, it turned out to be 34 feet, one inch, with 215 individual noodles. We weren't really in a straight line, the noodles weren't completely straight. And, in fact, most of them were bent. So, Campbell's is good on their word - 32 feet of egg noodles and you know how good it tastes. This gets the thumbs up.

In case you're wondering, it took me about twenty minutes to put all 215 noodles in a line on the sidewalk.

And a note to hungry college students - that one can of Campbell's that included 32-plus feet of noodles cost me 67 cents.
