Virginia's presidential primary has come and gone, but the political fundraising continues.

Gov. Bob McDonnell will be in McLean Thursday evening to host a private fundraiser for Mike Pence, a Republican congressman from Indiana. Pence is running to succeed fellow Republican Mitch Daniels as his state's governor.

McDonnell serves as chairman of the Republican Governors Association, which works to get the GOP elected in gubernatorial races across the country.
