Michigan Republican National Committeeman Chuck Yob may take on state GOP Chairman Saul Anuzis and others in a bid to become head of the Republican National Committee.
The Hesperia businessman ran unsuccessfully for the post in 1997 and said he'll decide in a week or two if he wants to run again. Anuzis announced Wednesday that he's running.
Yob is no fan of Anuzis. The two have clashed frequently over the years.
Yob points out the string of losses Republicans have suffered during the nearly four years Anuzis has been state chairman and says that "we've got a problem in Michigan."
Yob has been an RNC member since 1989. Keith Butler will replace him next year as one of three Michigan residents on the RNC, which will elect a new leader Jan. 23.
