There is a lot of talk about who wins each state, but in the end it is the number of delegates that matters, and candidates can pick up delegates even if they do not win states.
For the democrats Barack Obama is in the lead with 25 delegates so far.
He's almost neck and neck with Hillary Clinton’s 24 votes.
And while John Edwards has yet to win a state, he still has 18.
It is a tighter race for the GOP. After two second place finishes and a first, Mitt Romney has a strong lead with 48. Then it is Mike Huckabee with 19 and John McCain with 15.
Fred Thompson has six, Ron Paul two, and finally Duncan Hunter has one.
Saturday's delegates have not been distributed and will come in a few days.
