Fundraising reports have been filed by the mayoral candidates in Elkhart and Goshen and show that as far as financing is concerned, the incumbents have their opponents handily defeated.

According to our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, Elkhart Democrat Mayor Dick Moore has over $48,000 on-hand as of April 8.

Moore is running unopposed on the democratic ballot. Republican candidate Harry Housour reported only $269 cash on hand.

In the Goshen race, Mayor Allan Kauffman reported $21,000 dollars in his fund as of April 14 while his democratic opponent Mike Hanes was $32 in debt.

The front runner on the republican ballot, Don Riegsecker, reported almost $8,000 on hand.
