Penn Township's Board is seeing a big change as the make-up does a complete turnaround. The board currently has three Democratic members but voters chose three Republicans to take over come January.

The move comes on the heels of a state report that was critical of the spending policies of township trustee Jeff Dean, a Democrat who ran unopposed.

At least one incoming board member finds Dean's behavior unacceptable.

"Well unacceptable is spending lavishly on the taxpayers’ dime, paying somebody that you live with for two separate jobs, and probably making as much as the mayor of Mishawaka, that's unacceptable,” said Kent Hizer, board member-elect for Penn Township.

Republicans Dave Schmidt and Charles Gray also won seats on the Penn Township Board.
