Jim Price is retired from the Navy and years of delivering newspapers.

He'll tell you himself, he doesn't golf, he doesn't fish, he doesn't even drink.

But it's what he does do is important--collecting trash along the roads.

You have to see it it believe it. Jim drives around on an old scooter that, sometimes, gives him a hard time even starting up. Armed with a "grabber" Jim scans the streets picking up cans, bottles, and other garbage.

"I've got this area picked up pretty good," Jim tells us as he scoots along. "Yeah I'm picking up some cans along the road."

The cans are what Jim is really looking for. He's not only trying to make a couple extra bucks for himself, but for a couple local charities. He donates the cans to the St. Joseph County Humane Society. And all the tabs from the cans, currently 142 pounds of them, are going to the Ronald McDonald House at Memorial Hospital.

"I'd like to see somebody get some good out of them instead of just
go for scrap," Jim says.

Watch this story and travel along with Jim on an outing collecting cans and making a difference.

If you'd like to donate your cans, contact Jim Price at (574) 243-1154.
