81-year-old Warren Buffett, one of the richest people in the world, says he has been diagnosed with stage one prostate cancer.

In a letter to shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett says that he was diagnosed last Wednesday with the disease. Buffett will begin a two-month treatment of daily radiation in mid-July that will restrict his travel, but not change his daily routine.

Buffett stressed that his doctors have assured him that his condition "is not life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way."
