Strong earthquake hits off El Salvador coast

Scientists have now rescinded a tsunami warning following a strong magnitude-7.4 earthquake that struck off the coast of El Salvador Sunday night. The quake was followed by a second, magnitude-5.4 temblor.

There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake was located 86 miles south-southwest of San Miguel and a depth of 32.9 miles.
