A fairy tale dreamed up by a 6-year-old Florida girl before she was killed in a horrific shooting rampage at her home has come to life in a new children's book.
"The Bear's Castle" realizes Makayla Joy Sitton's goal to publish a book, and it uses the very words she dictated during a homeschooling lesson with her mother.
Sitton was killed with three others on Thanksgiving Day 2009 when a relative went on a shooting spree at her Jupiter, Florida home.
Her book tells the story of a little bear who wants to make all his wishes come true, and who lives happily ever after with a unicorn in a castle.
Her parents hope it will bring Makayla's joy to other children.
