The "12-12-12" concert to raise money for Superstorm Sandy relief may be in New York, but it's a big deal on the hard-hit New Jersey shore.
A movie theater in Toms River and dozens of others in areas affected by the storm simulcast Wednesday's show for free for storm victims.
Some of those attending say they still can't get into their homes. Others in dry areas used their homes as shelters for friends.
Brick Township resident Joe Montagna says he's grateful to see musicians give something back.
And Toms River resident Jerry Frasco says he's in awe of the lineup including The Who, the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen. He says he just wishes his community didn't have to go through a storm to get it.
The storm is blamed for about 100 deaths in New York and New Jersey.
