The economy is making major strides in recovery this year, and that's good news for the unemployed, as well as teens seeking temporary summer jobs.

WKVI reports that 1.4 million teens landed summer jobs last year. That's a 46 percent increase from the depths of the recession in 2010.

The trend is expected to continue this year, but there's still a high number of adult workers taking those jobs, just to make ends meet.
