NEW YORK (AP) - A judge says he thinks there's more than enough proof that would allow a jury to convict Osama bin Laden's son-in-law and al-Qaida spokesman of conspiring to kill Americans.

U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan turned down a defense request Friday to dismiss the case. He called the evidence against Sulaiman Abu Ghaith "dramatically more than merely sufficient." But he noted the verdict's up to jurors.

The defense case is due to start Monday. Abu Ghaith is the highest-level al-Qaida figure to face trial in the U.S. since Sept. 11. He has pleaded not guilty.

Also Monday, defense lawyers will likely revisit efforts to introduce information from professed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed. He's answered their written questions, but they'd need Kaplan's OK to introduce them.
