CHICAGO (AP) - Attorneys with the Chicago Bar Association say they'll host a free legal advice hotline this weekend to assist callers residents with various inquiries.
The bar association's Call-A-Lawyer program runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Lawyers will be on hand to discuss any type of legal question or issue.
Officials say callers may explain their situations to an attorney who will then suggest self-help strategies.
Callers who require additional assistance will be advised to see their own attorney, hire a lawyer or to contact the association's attorney referral service. Officials say the referral service has over 300 prescreened, qualified lawyers experienced in almost every area of the law.
The hotline number is 312-554-2001.
