An exhibition on Arab Americans who have served in the U.S. military and diplomatic corps is planned in September in suburban Detroit.

The exhibition is called "Patriots & Peacemakers: Arab Americans in Service to Our Country" and opens September 11 at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn.

The museum says the exhibition focuses on three areas of national service - the armed forces, diplomatic corps and Peace Corps.

The show's opening corresponds to the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

The museum says the exhibition helps show the role that Arab Americans have played in defending the nation, dating back to the American Revolution.
