PAULDEN, Ariz. Authorities say four people are dead after a small plane crashed near the northern Arizona town of Paulden.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the Cessna 340 was flying from Bullhead City in northwestern Arizona to an unknown destination when it crashed about 12:40 p.m. Friday on the grounds of the Gunsite Ranch west of Paulden.

Chino Valley Fire District spokesman Rob Zuzueta says the pilot and three passengers died in the crash and there were no survivors.

The victims' names, ages and hometowns aren't immediately available.

Phoenix television station KPHO says a witness to the crash reported seeing a large ball of fire after the twin-engine plane hit the ground.

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
