A New Jersey jailbreak that mirrored part of the plot of the movie "The Shawshank Redemption" will not end like the film did.
New Jersey authorities say federal and local law enforcement officers have arrested one of two escapees in Elizabeth, just six blocks from the jail.
Jose Espinosa was taken into custody without incident. He was alone and had a leg injury he apparently suffered when he and Otis Blunt leaped from a roof over a 25-foot high fence topped with razor wire. The pair escaped December 15th.
Just as in the movie, the pair used photos of bikini-clad women to hide holes they had dug through the cinder block walls of their adjoining cells in a high-security unit. In the movie, an inmate used posters to hide a tunnel.
The inmates left a mocking note thanking one of their guards for helping them. The guard, who officials say wasn't involved, later committed suicide.
