Mother finds shank in Polly Pocket toy

Lead is not the only danger to kids in their toys this season.

A child in South Carolina found what appears to be a prison shank inside one of her Christmas presents.

Corrine, a 7 year old, opened her "Polly Pocket Plane Set" and in the box found a blade wrapped in electrical tape.

Corrine's mom says she found it wedged inside a space for the plane's walkway.

"She's like; can I play with my toy? No, you can't play with it right now. Let's take it back. I mean what else can be in there. I mean, we tell our kids on Halloween let us check the candy before you eat it so the same goes for the toys. We have to check the toys no," says mom Kimberly Compton.

The Polly Pocket set is made by Mattel and was bought at a Sumter Wal-Mart.

The box was glued closed until Corrine opened it and the plane was sealed in a plastic bag.
